Fire District

Fire 协调员 Brody Miller serves as the fourth Fire 协调员 for the St. Martin Parish Fire District. He began his fire service career as volunteer firefighter in St. Martin Parish as a member of the Parks Volunteer Fire Department in 2004. In 2008 he was hired as a full-time firefighter for the Iberia Parish Fire District #1. He was promoted to the rank of Captain during his tenure. In 2015, Brody was selected as St. Martin Parish Fire District’s first ever full-time Training Officer.  In 2018, he was appointed to his current position as Fire 协调员.

Brody is charged with assisting all of the volunteer fire departments in St. Martin Parish with purchasing, personnel matters, PIAL Ratings, operational recommendations, and being the liaison between the St. Martin Parish Fire District Steering Committee and the St. Martin Parish 政府. 圣. Martin Parish Fire Service District is unique in that it is all Parish-wide service district which consists of 12 fire departments and approximately 240 firemen.  The district embraces both municipalities and the parish’s rural communities.  The success of the Parish’s Fire Service District is premised upon Brody’s philosophy that hands-on training, 教育, proper equipment and experience is the perfect mixture necessary to make the best firefighters.
